Failing to secure cargo properly in or on a vehicle has significant and potentially deadly consequences to the driver and/or motoring public. The North American Cargo Securement standard (National Safety Code 10) is used throughout our continent to help ensure minimum safety standards for all commercial motor vehicle operators and drivers are met. This program explains the rules for compliance and gives the participants a clear understanding on their roles and responsibilities with respect to load security. Industry examples of loads secured improperly and properly are illustrated and discussed.
